DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Detroit - Dearborn

I make monthly trips to Detroit for work. I've stayed at the Doubletree in Dearborn 3-4 times. It's reasonably priced and I like the location due to its proximity to a variety of restaurants and my work. Unfortunately, every stay has come with problems (most of which have been minor). It's either that I have few to no towels & hygiene products, the bedsheets seem to be dirty, the outlets and lights witches don't work, or the window curtains won't close fully. Each time, I've called the front desk and asked for assistance. Help is always promised and never given. I've left reviews through the hotel about this multiple times. I don't expect a change, but the location is still convenient as hell.

Our room was fabulous! Plenty of space, clean linens, rocks glasses for beverages, and a nice TV. The bathroom was spacious also, although the shower grout needs a bit of attention. All staff were kind and courteous, and the property was beautiful, top to bottom. We enjoyed some food from the bar, and we're happy to the proximity to entertainment.

Great customer service food is over priced $26.00 for buffet breakfast. But it's a good location 20 minutes from DTW and 6 minutes from Fairlane mall. Great access to nearby fwy. I've stayed here several times.

Sherry and Carla at the bar are awesome and will take great care of you. Saw them take care of several guests after the posted closing hours to make sure everyone was satisfied. We visit lots of hotels for hockey and they are by far the best barstaff we have run into in years If you come into the Doubletree Sherry and Carla will take care of you. Highly recommended.

Nice place convenient to shopping and dining. Food in the hotel restaurant wasn't very good, but the banquet food was excellent! Room was adequate, although a drawer was broken, and we had to unplug the phone because the message light wouldst stop blinking.

I arrived to this hotel late after a long day on the road. The manager on duty was GREAT! She was friendly, polite, and quick. Exactly what I needed after a long day. The rooms are clean and the staff is great.

I recently stayed at a Hilton that has a very unique mix of “old but innovative,” and overall I had a good experience with a few quirks. The building itself is clearly older: the hallways have that classic patterned carpet, and the elevator feels almost like an antique piece, but in a charming, nostalgic way rather than run-down. The furniture in the room is also older and shows some wear, but everything was very clean, which is the most important part for me. Being in the room honestly felt like being transported back to the 90s in a cozy, old-school hotel kind of way. What really surprised me is how modern and innovative they are with their services. I loved that I could check in online and use a digital key on my phone :) no need to stop at the front desk or keep track of a plastic key card. It was fast, super convenient, and probably my favorite part of the whole experience. Parking is another big plus: it’s free and there are lots of spots available around the property, which is rare and very appreciated. The location is also practical, there are fast-food places and stores nearby, so grabbing a quick bite or picking something up is easy. At night, the area itself is quiet, but inside the room the mini-fridge and the AC/heater were a bit noisy. It wasn’t terrible, but definitely noticeable. I usually travel with earplugs and ended up using them here, just like I do in many hotels, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. Overall, if you don’t mind (or even enjoy) an older-style hotel with dated decor but clean rooms, great digital check-in, free parking, and a convenient location, this Hilton is a solid choice. Just bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper like me.

It's a breakfast buffet. The bacon could have been fresher. The oatmeal could have been less runny. The sausage patties could have been higher quality. $26 is fine but if you're going to charge that I expect better sausage and biscuits and gravy.
